It is with great pride that we address you as the Joint Secretaries of the Hill Country Clinical Society for its 14th Annual Journal. Our society remains a cornerstone of medical education and collaboration in the Nuwara Eliya District, fostering knowledge exchange and improving healthcare standards.

This past year has been unique, with three remarkable presidents—Dr. Prasad Marasinghe, Dr. Nuwan Priyadarshana, and Dr. Pulasthi Kanchana—leading us through different phases. We extend our deepest gratitude for their dedication and vision in ensuring continuity and growth.

Under their leadership, we conducted numerous academic programs, including CME sessions and hands-on workshops, enhancing professional development and patient care. The Hill Country Medical Journal continues to reflect the scholarly spirit of our society, featuring original research, case reports, and reviews. We are grateful to the editorial team for their commitment to academic excellence.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Director of DGH Nuwara Eliya, council members, consultants, and medical officers for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in our success.

As we reflect on this year, we feel privileged to contribute to the legacy of the Hill Country Clinical Society. We hope this journal serves as a valuable resource, inspiring continued learning and collaboration.
