The Hill Country Clinical Society stands as a beacon of medical knowledge and excellence in the district of Nuwara Eliya. It has been both an honour and privilege for us to serve as Joint Secretaries of this esteemed society. Over the past year, we have taken great pride and joy in organizing and participating in numerous educational activities aimed at strengthening clinical practice within our district.

This year has been particularly fruitful, with Continuing Medical Education (CME) lectures conducted weekly, covering a wide spectrum of relevant and timely topics. Through these programmes, we hope we have succeeded in disseminating new knowledge, refreshing established concepts, and enhancing the clinical skills of doctors serving the Nuwara Eliya district.

This journal represents the culmination of a year of dedication, collaboration and academic commitment. Published annually, it embodies the highest standards of our society. Within its pages, you will find valuable scientific research, original case reports and comprehensive reviews contributed by clinicians from Nuwara Eliya and other regions.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the unwavering guidance and leadership of our President and the Council. We extend our sincere appreciation to the editorial team for their tireless efforts in maintaining the highest academic standards.
