Dear Colleagues,

It is with great honor and privilege that I serve as the President of the Hill Country Clinical Society for the year 2025/26. Since its establishment, the Society has remained a pillar of clinical excellence, professional development, and academic collaboration in the hill country region of Sri Lanka. I am deeply humbled to lead this esteemed organization during this important phase of its journey.

The year ahead brings both challenges and opportunities. As we continue to navigate the aftermath of recent global and national health, economic, and social challenges, our commitment to patient-centered care, continuous learning, and professional unity remains steadfast. Guided by our shared vision, we strive to uphold the highest standards of medical practice while adapting with resilience & innovation.

Throughout this year, the Society has organized a range of academic activities aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and clinical competence of healthcare professionals in our region. These include regular CME programs, workshops, seminars, and collaborative events conducted in partnership with national colleges and professional bodies. We are pleased to continue facilitating CME accreditation in support of lifelong learning among our members. We have also embraced sustainability and modernization by promoting eco-friendly practices and digital solutions in our activities. These initiatives reflect our responsibility not only to the medical profession but also to the wider community and environment we serve.

Our Annual Academic Sessions remain the highlight of our calendar, providing a valuable platform for research presentation, knowledge exchange, and professional networking. I warmly invite all members, guests, and colleagues from across the country to actively participate and contribute to make this event meaningful and memorable.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the Council members, senior consultants, junior doctors, nursing officers, and administrative staff for their dedication and teamwork. Their unwavering support is the foundation of our continued success.

With unity, professionalism, and shared purpose, I am confident that the Hill Country Clinical Society will continue to grow from strength to strength.
